With droughts and bushfires now a reality for many Aussies farmers, requests for support from Rural Aid are becoming increasingly frequent and urgent.
Such is the harsh reality of farming in Australia that Rural Aid, who only a few years ago was helping our producers recover from devastating floods, is now helping farmers with their drought preparation.
Farmer counselling sessions have almost doubled compared to this time last year, with the themes of bushfires, dry conditions, low to no water and fodder supply/resources, increased interest rates, along with low stock prices, dominating conversations.
To assist Rural Aid meet this increased demand, Elanco is providing funds to support their “Buy A Bale” campaign. These funds are being used for a range of activities including providing stock fodder, drinking water for households and stock, counselling, and financial support to those in need.

Rural Aid counsellors also known as The Rural Aid Mental Health and Wellbeing Team are professionally trained to support their clients through all kinds of life challenges and come with an understanding of the unique needs of rural people. They can support with practical strategies to help farmers refocus and get back on track.
