Global Day of Purpose is Elanco’s annual volunteer day to encourage employees to join local causes and charities to make a positive impact. It provides everyone at Elanco with an opportunity to give back to the communities in which we operate.

As COVID-19 continues to affect the way we work and connect, let’s remember that volunteering is more important than ever. And even though our Global Day of Purpose looks a little different in a virtual world, it is just as impactful. All throughout October, our colleagues around the globe discover creative ways to build healthier communities. Together, we reinvent volunteering in a virtual world.

The community projects that our employees serve through come in many forms. Whether it’s collecting food for a food drive, volunteering at animal shelters, offering virtual classes or picking up trash in the neighborhoods – collectively, we make an enormous impact through the gift of time and talent.

Volunteering is part of our identity!

Everyone at Elanco is encouraged to give their time and talents to improve the lives of others.

The Elanco Healthy Purpose™ program allows for each Elanco employee to set aside one half-day per quarter of standard work time to volunteer at any charitable organization in their local communities.

This is in addition to our Global Day of Purpose which provides an opportunity to dedicate one full workday to give back to through community service.

This year, our colleagues are getting creative to reimagine how they can support people and animals in need.
